Consultancy

Since 1990 I have been studying sites to advise the owners and managers how to manage them for the benefit of the plants and animals within them. There are many aspects to the ecology of a site, and they can be documented, quantified and evaluated to find out what really matters. The outcome of a thorough analysis is often not what you might expect.
Some of my reports and writing are available on the Internet Archive:
- Flora of Stodmarsh
- Flora of Wye Downs
- Flora of Hothfield Heath
- Flora of Shropshire
- Flora of Attingham Park
- Flora of Aqualate Mere
There are dozens of these, and if I have ever produced a report for you I should have a copy and the raw data still available, so please ask if you have any need of it. All the records I make are also freely available on the NBN Atlas and in all appropriate places, so if you commission any work, it should never be lost.
Some of these are monitoring reports, which are my favourites. For more information, take a look at the monitoring page.

One of my favourite tasks is to help botanists and companies with their 'botanical emergencies.' If you come across a protected species you're not allowed to handle, need to translocate an orchid, or even want help collecting dandelions for your seedbank, give us a call.
